- Account info — your email address, used to identify your account
- Uploaded content — documents you submit to the Service, processed to provide results
- Usage data — basic telemetry to keep the Service running reliably
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card details

- To provide and maintain the Service
- To process payments
- To send account-related emails (e.g., sign-in links)
- To monitor and improve reliability
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
3. Google Sign-In
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information solely for account identification. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google services.
Our use of Google account data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing syllabuddy.contact@gmail.com or using the account deletion option in your account settings.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following providers to operate the Service:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — authentication and data storage
- Vercel — hosting
Uploaded content may be processed by third-party services to deliver features. It is not retained or shared beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Authorized Syllabuddy staff may access your account email and upload history (e.g., which syllabi you've processed) for customer support and service reliability purposes. We do not access the contents of your uploaded documents except as necessary to investigate a reported issue.
No system connected to the internet can be made completely immune to unauthorized access. In the unlikely event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
